How to embed tweets on Squarespace
Squarespace pages take the AddTweets code in a Code Block.
Steps
Copy the code
Build your wall in AddTweets and click Copy code.
Add a Code Block
Edit the page, click Add Block (or the + insert point) and choose Code.
Paste and save
Paste the code, keep the mode on HTML, turn off "Display Source" and save the page.
Good to know
- Squarespace only runs scripts in Code Blocks on plans that allow custom code. Without it, the tweets still show as a readable list without the wall layout.
- Squarespace doesn't run scripts while you're in the editor. View the live page to check the layout.
Questions
Why do I only see a list of tweets?
Either you're viewing the page inside the editor or your plan doesn't run custom scripts. Open the published page; if it's still a list, check your plan's custom code settings.
Do I need to update the code when I add tweets?
Yes. The tweets are inside the code, so after you change a wall in AddTweets, copy the new code and replace the old one. Save the wall to your account so you can reopen and edit it.
