How to embed tweets in Webflow

Webflow's Code Embed element accepts the AddTweets snippet as it is.

Steps

  1. Copy the code

Build your wall in AddTweets and click Copy code.

  2. Drop in a Code Embed element

In the Webflow Designer open Add elements, drag a Code Embed element into the section where the wall should appear.

  3. Paste, save and publish

Paste the code, save and close. The Designer may show a placeholder; publish or preview the site to see the wall.

Good to know

  • Give the parent section a max width (for example 1100px) so the wall lines up with the rest of your layout.
  • Webflow limits each embed to a set number of characters. A 30-tweet wall with long tweets can go over it; split it into two walls or remove a few tweets.
  • Some Webflow plans restrict custom code. If the Code Embed element is locked, check your site plan.

Questions

Why does the wall look different in the Designer?

Webflow doesn't run third-party scripts inside the Designer. Preview or publish the site to see the real layout.

Can I style the wall with Webflow classes?

The wall uses its own scoped classes so it won't break your styles. Use the accent color and corner options in AddTweets to match your brand.

Do I need to update the code when I add tweets?

Yes. The tweets are inside the code, so after you change a wall in AddTweets, copy the new code and replace the old one. Save the wall to your account so you can reopen and edit it.
